This is my third set of corncob style bulbs, neither of which meet their lumen output requirements. They were as bright as advertised, not equivalent to 100W (1600 lumens) but equivalent to 60W (800 lumens) to 75W (1100 lumens). It's still very bright when it comes to 6500K direct light LEDs and definitely about as bright as you'd probably ever want to use for a fridge. After installing them in my fridge, it almost hurt to even open it. That was my goal! I can't vouch for longevity and that's probably not the case with a fridge freezer - they're always adequately chilled. I believe that most corn cob lamp failures are due to the lack of external heat sinks. If you put it in the fridge overheating shouldn't be a problem.
