This review is for the Innobay 18650 fan sold by JapanQuality and not any other products. I have another review of another similar fan from another company and it's different. I ordered this fan after a problem with the Xcellent Global version. This fan comes with a genuine Samsung battery rather than a pair of poor quality unnamed batteries. I have other 18650 cells and devices that use them so it doesn't matter to me. I'd rather have a quality battery than a pair that always looks bad. This fan is used daily and works perfectly. Don't let its size fool you, it moves a lot of air. The battery can be changed quickly and easily. I don't use the built in charger, I have other chargers that work better and faster. I used the Xtar USB voltage tester on the built in charger to test it. It costs 0.75 amps for those curious. I ran the fan a few times until it stopped. Once it turned off I pulled the battery out and checked it with a multimeter. It read between 3.0-3.1 volts. I installed a new battery and checked again. The same thing. I got the same result regardless of cell brand or capacity. The cells used were a Samsung 26J, a couple of Samsung 30Q cells, a couple of LG MJ1 cells and even a couple of remanufactured cells from disassembled laptop batteries. 3.0 volts are needed to discharge a lithium-ion cell. Much further and you can damage the cell. It's good to know that this fan stops before it does. I would like to see a 6-8 inch version of this fan. The 18650 battery has so much potential. It's underused now, but products like this and small radios, work lights, solar lights, etc. are starting to change that.
