- These straps work great - They are MUCH longer than I need but it's pretty easy to remove the buckle, cut off the excess strap and give the cut end a short seal with a fire clicker does not unravel, and then tuck the cut end into the buckle where it will remain permanently attached (a good factory cut end is one you see/use regularly).
