I definitley expected either quality or some type of catch with the price being discounted when i bought it at about $30.00 USD. They are OK quality the packaging says they have three layers of protection, I'm not sure how thick they are but not very thick, they are not medical grade and it is explained in the contents of the box that they are not. But when opening the box you are greeted with the Chinese stamp of approval with the literal red star and Chinese writing around it, and they are manufactured in Xiantao City, China. I'm not including this because I am trying to start some kind of controversy or blame anyone for anything. It says very clearly in the description that it is sold by Jointown which their headquarters is located in Wuhan. That being said I do not know if that's where they are tested or checked before shipped out for diseases or pathogens and allergens, THERE IS a quality check that is done on this product so don't think its riddled with disease when they ship them to the U.S. or whatever country you live in. But with all the controversy surrounding where these companies are getting patents and EPA approved seals which are mostly foreign, and then selling them to other countries is a whole other story, but just make sure when buying masks to do research. They are OK masks and I personally have had no issue with them so I would feel comfortable giving one to a co-worker or friend if they forgot their masks. But it should not be a secret as to the origins of the product and personally I am fine with them I believe there's nothing wrong with them, but they are cheaper quality. If you are elderly or in that age bracket where you are more susceptible to covid-19 or other diseases, seek higher quality masks which yes cost more, and sometimes ALOT more. But for the average worker needing a mask to go out to work in retail, food, or wherever you work these are acceptable. But do note most masks including this one are not proven to prevent from high exposure of an airborne illness spread or to wear for medical use. Only use mask once also these are cheaper quality and if they get wet or damaged its over toss and replace it. Sometimes I wear three different masks a day depending on how long my work shift is.
