The dowels supplied with the shelf have flat ends (not rounded) and although they are huge, they are too small for the screws supplied. To install the anchors you will need to drill a hole in the drywall so that the flat end of the anchor is secure. just right? Not if the screws are too big for the dowels! The screw only went part way into the anchor and then just twisted and twisted into the drywall. Once this happens, the hardware must be pulled out of the drywall, creating an even larger hole. Any attempt to reinstall the anchor in the original hole usually ends with it falling into the wall. It was a disaster! Thank god I had extra wall plugs and screws lying around - even though they added extra holes to my wall I was able to install the shelf. I even added mounting tape to give it extra support. Finally, the shelf is very wobbly and not worth the devastation of installation. It would be nice if the devices would work together.
