After 4 years it's holding up well

I've had this bread bin (red) since 2016 and I'm still very happy with it! It has withstood everyday use by me, the kids and my husband. He also survived a move and was used as a jumping ramp by cats to jump onto the closets. We managed to lose one of the black plastic covers on the door. Anyway, I don't really know what its purpose was. I added a picture of it next to my Kitchen Aid mixer to emphasize the red tone.
