Put simply, this purchase was a huge and costly mistake. It would be cheaper to flush $80 down the toilet. Then at least I would still have my data. Now I understand why that disc was the only one not stocked on the Office Depot website. Here's my story: Less than a month after buying this piece of crap, and with absolutely no warning, this hard drive crashed with my entire music and photo collection on it. The drive was FAR NOT FULL, and I didn't push the drive as hard to spin it down as I am doing now. I'm usually the backup queen, but since I was in the process of changing filenames, I haven't migrated my ongoing work to backup methods yet. something strange: A sticker on an external buslink hard drive (which is usually difficult to remove without using force) has peeled off by itself. If I TRYED to salvage even a fraction of what I lost on the drive, I'd have to charge myself over $800 to recreate it. Since the recovery of my valuable data was not guaranteed, I declined. I will never buy a Buslink/Western Digital external/portable hard drive again. Please be warned; It is not worth. Rather than settle for this lemony product, wait for Seagate or something more reliable to come along. f
