Arrived with a strong smell of mold, removed the cover to wash and wiped the pillow to air it, but the smell lingered. Tried to test with a different coating. The hardness and shape are good, the cooling properties are not very good. Still keeps a lot of heat. If I could find a way to remove the smell I'd say it was adequate.
