Shelf parts were carefully and safely packed. All hardware and a small screwdriver were included, perfect for the task. I took my time and it was a very short, pleasant task putting everything together. I wasn't expecting screws, and at first I didn't understand how such thin (but strong!) sheets of wood would use screws, but then I realized they were screwed into grooves. It's a brilliant mechanism that keeps the profile thin and light while adding a degree of strength. The finished product is wonderful. I keep extra USB cables, a wireless charger, a ring light, pens, cosmetics, tripods, charging plugs, transdermal gel applicators, a spare mask, and just a bunch of other little things that might otherwise get lost in this item. Consider buying a second one as an alternative to other storage solutions. For scale, the image shows a 19 ounce coffee mug. The pins on the top right are energel push pins and blx vision elite uni-ball sticks.
