I needed a hay basket for my guinea pigs that is not too bulky and does not take up too much space, which is also easy to fill and easily accessible for my piglets. I tried different ones but they all seemed too dirty and didn't hold enough hay for the piglets. Then I tried these. When I first saw them I wasn't sure but thought I might try them, what have I got to lose? I'm so glad I did! They were perfect for my situation. Not too bulky but big enough to hold enough hay. The spring loaded grate that holds the hay in place allows me to load in as much hay as I need. It keeps it in place and it's not too difficult to pick up. My piglets have no problem getting hay and this has made the cage cleaner. It came in two packs which was a really good deal. I would definitely recommend this product to others with guinea pigs.
