Bed frame arrived two days sooner than scheduled. All parts accounted for. Assembly easy enough for one person. I suggest using your own ratchet instead of the provided open-end wrench.assembly will be easier and faster. Completed frame is very sturdy when all bolts are tightened appropriately. We placed a sleep number mattress without its base support. We used only the plastic boards and "crate-foam” pad underneath the mattress that came with the mattress. I don’t think that I would place a mattress on top of the cross members without something smooth to support a mattress. Overall very happy with this purchase. Just what we wanted for the guest bedroom. The puppies like it!
