Fits old style Bltiz canisters with retractable spout…

This set fits old Blitz cans with retractable spouts. You will need to purchase a 1-1/2" x 1-1/4" sliding washer so it will fit without leaking. This set contains two cuffs. One with a thinner thread and one with a larger thread play. The Blitz cans I have that are over 25 years old fit the larger threaded ring, but it is too big and leaves a gap where the spout connects to the can. I figured if I could find the right size washer it would fit without leaking so I went to my local hardware store and bought two packs of washers for $2 - they fit perfectly. There are absolutely NO leaks which is great as the old spouts that came with the can are absolutely useless. Not only did the spout leak completely when pouring, which by the way destroyed the height adjustment digits on my self-propelled lawnmower, but also the lid leaked when I filled it. After all these years I wanted to buy new glasses because they are the spouts that come with them, but I was glad I could just replace the spouts as the glasses are fine. Also, 2-gallon cans are just as expensive as 5-gallon cans, but much easier to lift. This kit is very beneficial. You get two strong, flexible spouts and four collars - two fine thread and two large through thread, making it compatible with a wide range of cans. You also get different vent caps. Mine were fine so I didn't need them but would be nice to have them just in case and a vent cap drill as a bonus if you don't have one. The only downside is I had to buy extra washers and wish they had come with the kit.

Pros
  • Gas Bottle Spout Replacement Kit. Fits most 1/2/5/10 gallon oil cans. As shown in the figure, the internal thread size is 1-3/4-1.7 inch. It can only be used for gas cylinders with a tank neck size of 1.75 inches. Please measure your oil tank opening before purchasing.
