The manufacturer of this ashtray needs to air these things out a little before packing. I could smell the varnish they put on it even before I removed the plastic wrap from the box it came in. I had to leave it outside with a fan for the rest of the day to get rid of the smell. Otherwise I like it very much. The three grooves in it could be a bit deeper, but that's a minor issue. I love the natural wood design and the fact that it still has the bark on it. As the ashtrays go, it's really nice. It looks really good, unlike plastic garbage. It also looks like it won't be easy to knock over, which is good for me as I don't want my roaches scattering all over the table or worse on the floor.
