In today's era of glass cockpit systems, digital calculators and handheld applications as the main means of calculating fuel consumption, plotting and correcting, etc., it is good to know that there is a handheld mechanical version of the instrument that will never let you down. Due to its size it is a good BACKUP but still fully functional.
