Firstly, I haven't dropped my tablet with it yet, but I've used similar tablet cases in the past and expect good protection. The coverage makes the bevels bigger, which is good. The S5e's bevels are too small, resulting in a lot of misclicks. This case helps alleviate that. The stand works well enough. If it shakes in portrait mode, rotate the extended stand 180 degrees. This case doesn't have a built-in screen protector, which is good. I never liked those things. Now for the bad. The power button is difficult to reach, making the fingerprint sensor unusable. I can't even enter new fingerprint data because my finger can't cover the sensor. The cap they put on the USB port seems pointless considering the case isn't waterproof, so it just adds an extra step to charging. A hand strap, which I never use and prevents the tablet from lying flat on the table, could be dispensed with.
