Review on Neewer 3200K 5600K Brightness Adjustable Photography Camera & Photo for Lighting & Studio by Tracey Bacon

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There is a promise, but the barn doors are in the way and one of the two ordered lights flickers.

Decent product with some flaws. The biggest problem is that one of the two sometimes flickers on me. This isn't good in any scenario, especially when shooting video (yes, it's set to constant mode, not flash mode). The light isn't very bright which for the price etc isn't much of a problem. Just don't expect them to serve as the main light for anything other than desktop setups or something fairly discreet like my example. There is an application that lets you control the light from your phone but I haven't used it yet. It would be great if you could control multiple lights at the same time, I'll have to try that at some point. PROS: The price for what you pay is very good. There are many features here, and many of them work well. The barn doors included are fairly durable metal, they seem to last a long time and it would be great if you didn't have to direct the light downwards. They're removable, so if you need to face down, you can. - You can heavily customize the colors to go for a very specific look - Great way to plug in or use batteries - Very portable, light weight and comes with a nice case CONS - Might be a godsend but as mentioned above I have 2 bulbs and one of them flickers at times - The barn doors won't let down the lights which is REALLY annoying - The lighting modes are too generic, it's a slow strobe light rather than a natural flash effect. The power cord is short, you will need an extension cord unless the light is installed within 5 feet of an outlet (the cord is approximately 10 feet long).
