First opened and thought they were too big. My medium-sized Tacoma truck seems to line everything but the cup holders, which are big enough to fit in a kid's spill-proof cup. And while this may be an American issue, I'm not ready to debate it. Thing is, for my coffee mug and the drinks I buy on the go (which don't include US super sizes), I needed a solution. Their holders fit perfectly into the tiny useless built in holders and hold them securely without spilling my drinks or making them fly. Two of them are placed in my console and only slightly interfere with managing the environment. So I am very happy with the purchase. Obviously no company can design a universal cup holder for every car and the buyer should be aware of this and only buy return items and be prepared to try a few cup holders before finding the perfect one for their car. In my opinion the key factors in your decision should be: 1. Holds the cup firmly and securely, preventing spills while maneuvering.2. Does not block or interfere with controls required for safe driving.3. Durable construction.4. Requires no attention to pull out the bowl while driving. (Distraction) This product meets these criteria for my particular vehicle.
