Review on Elac SUB1010 120-Watt 10-Inch Powered Subwoofer in Black (SUB1010-BK) - Amplified Bass for Enhanced Audio Experience by Adam Jackson

This is a great sounding subwoofer at an affordable price! I took a chance as I had never heard of this brand before but found it on a reputable HiFi site and bought it here. It was a bit larger on the website I found but without free shipping it was marginal and the delivery date would have been much later so I decided to buy it from Revain as I'm a Prime subscriber. He's been here less than a week. Professionally packaged with a clear and easy to understand instruction manual. I unpacked it, plugged it in and BOOM! Definitely not a thousand plus dollar sound, but definitely better than any subwoofer from the store. I have had many subwoofers, both inexpensive and mid-range. I don't have the resources, and I probably wouldn't buy them even if I had, to get into the $10,000 ultra-high systems, but that sounds like $500 quality. With this on an Onkyo TS-XR393 and a Jamo S-8 5.0 series surround sound system, and now I have over $1,000 of sound for less than $600. I'm buying another one of these now for a "Zone 2" subwoofer that will set me just over $700, but with two of these! The sound is basically half the price. ***UPDATE*** I have just bought a second and several Jamo S809, S83 Tower to replace the middle S81 and moved my S803 to the surround back position to replace the S801. WOW! Huge sound of just over a thousand, at discounted prices of course. I also have 4 S801s and S81s to use on a zone 2 channel but I need a satellite booster first which will be available soon!
