Review on 🔧 Gates Premium Engine Water Pump - Model 41026 by Adam Nikolz

Made in China for water pumps

I find it harder every day to find quality auto parts made in North America including Mexico. This Gates part is now made in China. What else is new. Even the OEM order for Delco's A/C belt tensioner was placed in Canada, without the pulley. China was stamped on the pulley. This is not good. You have non-auto industry people sitting at tables and making these decisions not realizing how terrible Chinese products are, especially their electronics and sensors. Gates surprises me. I've been in this business for 40 years and still work on trucks, SUVs and cars to this day. All electronics. I would advise you to buy auto parts from USA, Canada, Mexico, Thailand, Japan and South Korea. I wouldn't buy anywhere else. I say South Korea because Timkin now makes its wheel bearings there. They used to be made here in Pennsylvania, USA. But I think they sell this part. They are good and hold up well. In South Korea, there are good questions and answers, and company representatives can also attend and conduct inspections. Thailand is the same. There are also representatives of our company. In China they are not always available. There are friends who say that they are not allowed to be present in certain areas because the other part is made in the same factories, and the Chinese say they are trying to protect the copyrights? Yes. So be careful. This happens with air conditioners from Delco, Motorcraft, Chrysler, etc. Chrysler now has Fiat, one of the worst cars in the world. They go out of their way to design their parts to fit Dodge trucks. Look at your starter, how small it is to crank your half engine. You burn 25,000 miles. Everyone stay healthy. Be careful what you do though. It would be great if Amazon started listing the country the part was made in so we can make a better decision.
