This is a well designed, durable monitor arm. My desk has an edge of about 1.75 inches for a table clamp and that seems like the bare minimum required for a secure attachment. My monitor weighs about 11 pounds and this mount supports it with no problem. The movement is smooth and light. in all directions. Cable management keeps cables neat and tidy, mostly out of sight. I see 2 areas for improvement: * You must use the Allen key provided to tilt the monitor. forward to get it right, with an iterative process of tilting/tightening/tilting back to see if it's right. On the other hand, if you're using a table clamp, there's built-in wrench storage.* The bottom rail has significant less space for cables. My monitor has multiple inputs and connecting 1 DP cable + 1 HDMI + 1 power cable was very tight. The top rail connected these 3 cables with no problems. Reasons less than 5 stars.
