I love this machine! A lot of people complain about the hook heads on Boye machines, but I think they can really be very useful! When I started and worked on my tension, especially when it was too loose, they were a huge life saver! I also have muscle tremors and hand cramps, so on really bad episodes they wouldn't let the yarn slip off. This is similar to the fondness for traditional knitting needles; Some suggest wood to keep the stitches from falling off, while others suggest metal to make the stitches easier to move. All personal preferences, but just wanted to state my point of view. The only complaint I have concerns the imperfection of production. Occasionally, there are extra pieces of plastic on the pins for the yarn to stick to and break. Have a nail file ready!
