Review on DEEPCOOL MATREXX 50 Mid-Tower Case: Tempered Glass Panels, PSU Shroud & Rear Fan Included by Darryel Tokarczyk

For the price you get a very respectable case, I can't imagine that anyone (who is interested in this type of case) would end up disappointed. For backstory's sake I guess I should say I'm 29, I've been building computers since I was 15 (learned to do it in high school) and I'm quite an experienced and knowledgeable person when it comes to, or computer parts im general. I had a lot of experience and worked for a local computer repair shop for 3 years. Apart from that I have seen many PCs and many cases, this one is honestly one of the best. For the price of $45 (Deepcool Matrexx 50) I was honestly impressed with the case, it's not the best quality of materials. , it's not the best design, nor is it well thought out, as in cable cutouts (like front panel, audio or USB) to make routing and managing/hidden cables easier on all supported motherboard sizes. (all cut and placed to fit an ATX motherboard) but for the price this is a pretty good case. I built this case for a friend who told me what his budget was, he wanted a decent PC and was going to buy a pre-built AMD 2200g APU system for $700. I told him we could do better as I felt I could help him get more value. We chose Ryzen 3600 and RX 5600XT at this price point. The downside was that we had to cut some corners to save some money where the occasion was one of them. Originally he really wanted the NZXT H710i (around $180) and it wasn't possible without sacrificing overall performance (which was the goal of better performance for the price). He was a little disappointed, but I made up for it with a cheap RGB cooler/fan and he was happy with it. cheap and I felt a lot of corners were being cut and basically it would be a 'case' and that was it. To my real surprise everything turned out to be pretty decent, I looked around the suitcase expecting to find sharp corners and metal everywhere (there wasn't any), everything was well turned over and I couldn't find a sharp piece of metal in the suitcase (the result of using cheap perforated metal templates used to make corps). The size was acceptable, everything fitted well and even had a fairly large gap on the back of the case for routing and hiding cables. At this price point it's usually almost non-existent, leaving you with sloppy cable management. The only thing that I honestly could find a bit cheap are the mounts for your GPU/PCIE devices. It uses regular and cheap die-cut metal rather than thick screw slots, but for the price I honestly expected, it was really the only thing I found "cheap" in this case (I'm looking for a complaint). Everything else was pretty decent and I mean I was impressed with the build quality, the thought that went into it (they had a pretty versatile layout to an extent) but overall I wouldn't if it was $70-80 would cost. I didn't think it was bad. It just so happened that the only fan included was a DOA but that didn't really matter, we bought three for the front (so worst case scenario 2 front and 1 rear) but I had a spare fan which I happily gave it to . To be honest this event didn't upset me because even with the fan dead I was still impressed. For this price and a nice, unobtrusive case, this is my recommendation for almost everyone. That said, RGB fans are pretty cheap when buying from lesser-known brands, so the crowd might still be happy. My personal taste, rather normal but nice "elegant" cases, I've always been a fan of fractal design. (if you look at them you'll see what I mean) and in the future I might start paying more attention to Deep Cools offerings.
