Actually a nice little dressing table for the price. Sturdy and well made except for a few dents and uneven coloring in places. The color of the wood is definitely not white. It's definitely ivory. If this dressing table wasn't such a perfect size and I didn't dare paint it I would return it because of the colour. I painted it with Benjamin Moore/Cloud White Interior Finish Acrylic Paint. And I restored the stool in silver-white velvet. Now it looks beautiful! The uneven coloring and dents in the ivory paint have been nicely masked with acrylic paint for the finish, giving the dressing table an antique look. It probably took me about 2-3 hours to cover the table and stool with two coats of paint. Definitely happy with the new look! We bought this for our teenage daughter's bedroom to use as a dressing table and small computer desk. The drawer is shallow but perfect for the expandable clear acrylic makeup tray I bought from Fred Meyer. A laptop fits very well in the closet, even with a couple of makeup glasses, a cordless phone and a photo frame on it. Perfect size, not too big and not too small :-)
