I was a bit worried that the consistency others mentioned would make the product brittle but it turned out to be quite durable! I bought metal pens along with this product and found them to work well with 4x4 pictures. There is space in the center for a small box to put a gift in. It was the perfect first birthday present and my boyfriend was delighted with it. Thanks very much!
