The first new boots in a decade will last the next decade. Love aggressive treads but be warned they can hurt your toes with very little pressure! The color is a little darker than in the photo, which I really liked. Under the pants they are dark enough that the mottled color isn't noticeable at second glance, but it's a nice change from my standard black boots. Please note these are larger boots and quite roomy in the calves. The first day they didn't kill my legs so I expect them to spread well. The included inserts are simple and relatively thin, but apparently effective. These boots are a bit narrower but they are exactly what I needed.
