First let me say that I am not a very good person and I am not qualified for this type of product but here is my experience. On a Sunday morning, I plug it into my iPad Pro and the other end into a microphone cable that plugs into the wall. During church classes I play short short video clips of 2-3 minutes. When I turn on the sound system first, I hear horrible buzzing and clicking noises coming from the speakers when I plug in the iPad. If I plug in the iPad first and then turn on the sound system, the hum stays, just less. If I mute the iPad, most of the noise is gone until I turn up the volume when the movie starts. Since I also use the microphone during class, I can't just leave the sound system off until the video clips come out. I borrowed a cable from a neighbor for my first month of classes and I just plugged it in and away I went. I finally settled on a cable and chose this one after reading the reviews. I wish I didn't get all the feedback when I plugged it in, I wish I didn't have to plug the items in a certain order, I wish I didn't have to think about muting the iPad, cooking everything, then unmuting the sound system, then Increase the volume on your iPad while playing video clips and turn the volume back down when the video ends. I wish it worked as well as my neighbor's $10 cable. Well it works and since I only use it once a week I will continue to use it to make my money from it.
