Update 7/2020 - just a year passed with my second box. I had to get a second box because the door of my first box broke and I missed the clean look of the door. Well, on the second day today the door broke. The problem is twofold: the pins are too short and the pin holes in the walls of the block are not sufficiently reinforced, so over time the plastic weakens and cracks. I don't know if there's anything better, but I'd like something more permanent. Overall I am satisfied with this product. Like other users, I'm happy that it's resin and therefore cannot absorb odors. I also caulked the floor since one of my cats "pees". A seal is necessary in any case to prevent stray dirt particles from getting into the cracks. FWIW, since I don't like sopping up pee, I started using puppy pads under disposable litter boxes. If I use very large/huge pads that turn liquid into gel (all absorbent ones are the brand that currently works for me) and run them down the back of the toilet, I don't have to swab them often. See picture for installation - I use 2 spacers - one runs lengthwise front to back and the other runs lengthwise side to side. I use a light fission spray to glue the spacers to the walls.
