Saw Eric a year ago at Steve Vai's opening in New Orleans, every song sounded the same, too busy, too fast, you can play fast anywhere if you're clean : Steve Vai , Joe Satriani, otherwise you're going to have to stretch that a bit. More grades doesn't mean better, see Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Don't get me wrong, I love fast, love fast, but not every song in an hour, mix it up, show me something different. I'm a music lover so I may buy an album or two to compare to the live experience.ps Steve Vai's live performances of The Crying Machine and Dyin' Day were mesmerizing. Yes, I'm still stuck on Fire Garden, his best album yet.
