Not bad for the money

This bag has many advantages: + The depth of the upper compartment is adjustable, which means you can lower the "bottom” if you need more space at the top and less at the bottom + The tripod straps are below. I've never understood why so many bags put them on their side where they lose balance and sweep things off the side. Thats much better. I was also able to attach a much smaller and lighter bag using these straps as an extension of sorts. + Very comfortable, the padding on the back and shoulder straps is very soft, but it seems that in hot weather the air will still circulate. .+ Compartment dividers feel good and stable. They are not super thin and flimsy like some bags. Just a couple of comments, but not a deal breaker: - I really wish they'd used a different material than that super cheap looking/feeling faux leather. If anything breaks in this bag, I bet it's it. I would have preferred a contrasting canvas or similar if they didn't use heavy duty leather. - ODOR. When I opened the box, the smell hit me in the face, which was an odd mix of vinyl and industrial chemicals. It seems to be coming from the raincoat folded inside, but the smell permeates the entire bag. It is currently on the air, hopefully it will go away.
