One of my cats is a loner and loves to find little hiding places to keep away from others. Like all cats, she loves boxes, and for a long time I had a large Chewy box parked in the middle of my living room just for her. It didn't add much to my decor so I figured I really had to throw it away but wanted to find something to offer her instead. I've bought similar houses elsewhere in the past and knew all my cats liked them when I saw this one with its happy looks and decided it would look a lot better in my living room than brown cardboard. It can be assembled in minutes and has a glossy finish that is easy to wash. It's also very durable, as are internal scratches. Since I got it, my single cat has been in heaven, sleeping hours a day and even bringing toys and small storage containers of dry food to chew on while spending time alone.
