What Sound Airship is that? The airship is used to reduce wind noise and it really works. Unboxing this DF DigitalFoto MicoLive blimp shows what we have inside: a very nice fluffy dead cat for the blimp and the blimp itself. The beauty of this blimp is that it has a handle so I can hold it comfortably. Next we need to plug our handy microphone into the airship so I can detach the back panel. You loosen the handle yourself and remove it from the lid. Then I take my handy little Deity S-Mic 2 and mount it on this mount. The damper has rubber buffers at the front and rear and is also adjustable. You can see how good the shock is and it seems pretty well made. Next we want to place the shock absorber into the airship itself. Now you want to take this included cable and connect the rear cable to the microphone. You can then attach the end of the airship and now we have the microphone in the airship and we are ready to record. In this configuration, you can use it indoors or outdoors where there isn't much wind. When you have a strong wind, you want to put a dead cat on the airship. Now let's take a dead cat that has a hole to put the airship in and you want to turn it the right way for the handle. A dead cat has plenty of fur to drown out the wind. You can mount this airship on a jib or lamp post. There is a standard 3/8 thread. The other thing we're going to do is connect the microphone ourselves so we can actually hear the audio. During my testing, it reduces wind noise. I am very impressed with this airship from DF DigitalFoto. It's pretty light and easy on your wallet too, it costs about a hundred dollars less than other airships, and it looks very, very much like those airships. Overall I am very impressed with the quality and construction of this airship and it is fun to hold and also mount to an arrow hole which is exactly what you want to do.
