Review on Flameless Candles Flickering Flame Effect (D 3&#34 by Dora Macias

UPDATED Overview: I received the shell candle today, it is beautiful and the same quality as the pinecone candle I bought, my first candle at Hoogalife. This seller/seller definitely has excellent customer service and works very hard to please including a cover up. I definitely recommend this company and will buy more candles from them. Thank you Hoogalife. This review focuses on birch and 6 inch pine cone candles. I stopped buying anything other than Luminara flameless candles many years ago as the beauty, quality and performance of the battery is unmatched. I have dozens of Luminaras and enjoy them in my home and outdoors. When I discovered the Hoogalife Pinecone 6 inch candle I decided to give it a try as it is half the price of my 4 inch Luminara Pinecones. I only ordered one (not 3 or 4 that I was planning on buying) so I can appreciate the quality and overall look. I was very satisfied with the look and decided on the birch candle, which according to the product description was made from real birch. I was very disappointed with the quality of this candle in terms of aesthetics. Waxed birch looks terrible at the joints, it's very bulky, not even close to a smooth seam. Another thing I noticed with both the pinecone and birch candles is that the flame isn't realistic even at a reasonable distance like my Luminara candles. I compared them side by side when they shimmered and there is a very clear difference. Luminara has lifelike colors with a central glow that makes it look very realistic even up close. Hoogalife candles have a denser, dark orange glow with no flickering. I will continue to only buy Luminara candles.
