This swimsuit was for my wife; We got it before going to the beach. She found his elegant style attractive and in awe of him. All in all, she's a fitness freak, so she didn't really need to "get a handle on her tummy," but a modest haircut would certainly suit a woman who doesn't want to show off her tummy. My wife is also quite petite (about 4'10" and 95-100 pounds). She usually wears the smallest size available and she is this size S. She is a bit big. In fact, in our family, contrary to perhaps traditional roles, I (husband) am the one who knows how to operate a sewing machine, so my wife asked me to lend her some. it didn't work for her petite figure. However, the quality of the product is high. The material is comfortable and thick, and seems like it will be durable and stand the test of time. Overall recommended but be careful with the sizing if you are extra petite or usually wear a size XS.
