Review on Natural Wood Kitchen Cabinet Storage Cart with Single Drawer by Winsome by Brandon Micali

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good quality - exceeded my expectations

I read many reviews about this product before buying it so I was both optimistic and nervous. There were enough positive reviews about the quality of the materials and I was convinced that it really should be made of solid wood. On the other hand, there have been some negative comments about how well the pieces fit together. My expectations were exceeded in every respect. I've assembled much more complex products than this and done a lot of useful work (my brother and I just built our house from scratch) so I'm pretty good at judging whether an item is a quality product. This storage cart is a quality product, especially for the price. During my research I found a very similar product for $100 more but decided to take the risk and buy this one and I'm glad I did. The item arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. Each piece is individually wrapped and there are many layers of styrofoam between and around the pieces to prevent damage during shipping. Although the assembly instructions are a series of pictures with no descriptive text, the pictures are very clear and assembly was a breeze. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver and the Allen key provided. Just take your time and keep a close eye on the photos. Some parts look very similar but are not identical so you need to install them in the right place. The parts of the trolley are solid wood (no chipboard or MDF) so the screws are screwed tightly into the parts and hold everything together well. and tight. The only veneer is the back panel and side panels (oh yes, and the bottom of the drawer). They're like thin planks sliding into slots in a solid wood frame, and the whole thing is very solid when finished. When I put everything together, the right side door wouldn't close completely because the hinges were spring-loaded inward. I simply opened the door and tapped the hinges outward with a hammer to "loosen" them. After replacement, the door now fits perfectly and closes fully. I have attached some photos of the finished product. I would give a hint to those who don't have much experience with prefabricated houses. Furniture is that you don't tighten all the hardware too aggressively as you walk. It's best to put everything together, just tighten and then go back and tighten the hardware evenly, turning all the fasteners a couple of turns. Sometimes this eliminates the problems of the final product not matching perfectly. I would definitely recommend this product and would buy again if I need another similar product.
