I bought these for my 9 year old girl's costume. They fit just right, reaching just above your knees - no higher than your hips. The fabric is thick enough to be of good quality and I see her wearing and using it when she is done with the costume. You can check Amazon as they have packs of 6-8 pairs of different animal knee socks which are only slightly more expensive than these but I was on a budget so they fit me perfectly. If your child has large feet or legs, or is older (teens), they may not fit in these socks. But I think around 5/6-12 years would be the right age for her. They also wash well and keep their color very well.
