My adult sons had this set when they were little and it was a big hit. I didn't think plastic boats had changed much over the years so I didn't read the reviews before buying one for the little fella. The old ones had both a recess and a lip, and you could attach them all with a bit of finesse (but not too much trouble for a focused toddler). It was a good educational toy. They have small posts that attach to a hole in other boats. That sounds good in theory, but boats don't stay moored in the water. So no line of boats lined up in a row. I think they are good on their own but my older kids loved tying them together. That's the whole point. They won't stay together if you look at them the wrong way. Then no. I do not like her. I had low expectations for Badeboote, but still they fell short.
