My baby has been in cloth diapers for most of his life. The fabric was very basic, keeps my baby clean and has a much lower environmental impact than this 7th generation. The biggest blowout accidents I've had have been with disposables. However, I keep the 7th generation handy because 1) it's more convenient for grandparents and nannies to switch disposables, 2) it's easier to travel, 3) we use them for our baby at night. Of course, minimizing the environmental impact is very important, and this is acceptable for added convenience. I've been through about 4 packs of 7th gen and LO is now 4 months old. It's worth noting that the 7th gen seems to have an issue with poop. LO is breastfed and is usually supine. When he poops in the 7th generation, he moves UP in the back of the diaper where he can (and does) protrude past the waistband and soil the jumpsuit in the center back. Helpful Tip: After washing, the sunlight completely removes the remaining fecal stains from the fabric (much more effectively than bleach or chemicals).
