I have two identical 27" Acer monitors. They're not very heavy, but they're not flimsy either, so they have some weight. With my current desk, I don't have a way to use a clip or a hole in the desk to attach it, so I need a freestanding mount. This works very well. Assembly was easy and all tools are included. I was able to easily adjust the width to fit my monitors (actually the width is 25 inches). In fact, the space was decent in width. The joint is easy to adjust and tighten. This setup is more like set-and-forget. It's not something you want to constantly adjust for height as it's not feathers etc. It's perfect for my situation. It's solid, I don't feel like it's going to tip over if you have your arms/monitors as close to the bar as possible and center the weight. For the price, it's hard to beat.
