I used it last season as an engine heater for a car that didn't have a heater block and it worked well for that purpose even when the temperature dropped below -20 degrees. To do this, he completely covered the upper part of the engine compartment and also worked on keeping the battery warm. I will be adding an external oil pan heater to this car next season but will continue to use this blanket. I also used it to remove ice build up on my deck and it melted in a day and a half. Overall a good product and works as it should.
