Logitech F710 - Steam Big Picture Controller Option

A brief overview of the Logitech F710 wireless controller. I used this on a Windows7 PC with Steam (Digital Game Distribution Software/Library) and their "Big Picture" mode, which allows games to be played on a TV or away from a traditional mouse/keyboard. Windows7 found and installed the driver quickly and easily. Games define this as an Xbox360 controller (tested with Borderlands2, Dead Island, Need for Speed and Blur) while the style is closer to the Playstation controller, the XYAB buttons are closer to the Xbox controller and the rest it works great ( no additional in-game setting required). For example: - The back of the controller was a nice smooth/soft plastic - Buttons and knobs have a nice weight/resistance - Windows 7 drivers found and installed without fuss, quickly up and running - Comes named - Branded batteries (2xAA) already installed. Comes with a USB extension cable to place the wireless receiver away from the computer (I didn't have to do this though). Games recognize it as an XBOX360 controller, no setup/tethering required, with a range of 3-6ft with no issues - The sticks have a textured rubber on top which is really nice, feels good and your fingers don't slip out. Dislikes: - Buttons have a nice feel but sound very plasticky (loud click-clack when playing) - Packaging (plastic clamshell) is easier to open than some, but still painful and easily cuts fingers on the edges - Has an 8-way directional pad, but while UP-DOWN-LEFT-RIGHT works great and feels nice, the NW/NE and SW/SE directions require some work to get it right and actually register. It almost looks like it should just be a 4-position d-pad (it doesn't really matter to me since my games mostly use joysticks).

Pros
