I have a flat mattress (made for box springs) for a 4.5-5 -inch cotton futon mattress. I will also put a colored cover on it so I think it will work well. Everything was very easy and I did it myself. This version features a material that feels like microfiber sheets, but with a bit of stretch. It makes a little noise when you run your hand over it, but it's almost inaudible when you're sitting on it when folded. I would use a different mat or cover if used for daily sleeping. but it looks good, especially for the price. Works great under a solid color decorative cotton bedspread. It's been a few days. I now have a colored cover. It is constantly "blown" by the air, so when I sit on it, a large air bubble forms. Goes back slowly but kind of annoying. I originally gave this cover 5 stars but it's quite annoying so I downgraded it to 4.
