Ordered a size 8 for my 8 year old daughter who normally wears a 7/8 and they fit her very snugly. Gave these to my 6 year old daughter who wears 6's in everything and they fit her perfectly. I ordered a size 10 for an 8 year old girl and I'm surprised they will last all winter. But they are very soft and stretch a little. They're also sheer and thin, so don't expect anything to keep your kid warm (that would be great for a Texas winter).
