Conceals redness from henna!

I've been using henna for years to turn what I affectionately call my "platinum blondes" into red highlights. I naturally had some red highlights in my dark brown hair, so this worked for me. But as the "blonde" hair grew in number, the redhead began to appear a little redder than I wanted. Adding it to my henna and amla treatment softened it up and I'm delighted with the darker, more maroon color that came out. My mother used the henna I recommended to her and it turned out to be a much brighter orange-red than mine. It's good to remember that every hair is different. I told her about my experience with Hesh Kalpi and she is very happy with it too. Over the years I've tried many different combinations including tea, coffee, lemon juice and so on and so forth. Now I just add half a bag of this and half a bag of Nupur Mehendi Powder 9 Herbs Blend (which I also bought from Revain), pour boiling water over it and stir until it gets a muddy consistency. Cover it and leave it overnight. The next day I add more hot water until it's as thick as icing and stir it with a plastic spoon in a glass or plastic bowl (I've always been told not to use metal). Then I transfer it to a plastic ziplock bag and cut off the corner of the bag. So it's basically a piping bag. I find it easier to press on the roots and along the parting line, and less messy (especially if you don't make the mixture too thin). Then I put some residue in my hair (my doctor always lets me grab some while wearing gloves), put on a dollar store shower cap, and go about my business for 1-3 hours. I then rinse it off (no shampoo) and once the water runs clear I use whatever conditioner I have and it really seems to help wash away the residue. Get rid of my "platinum blondes" without chemicals!
