I should have read the reviews on the thin material before buying, but they work. As you can see in our daughter's photo, her diaper is visible through the shorts. This applies to all different colors of shorts in the package. As she is only one year old and still wears diapers we can allow her to wear them as shorts but we will not allow her to wear them as shorts as they become see through with age. The material is soft and comfortable. but I would recommend buying a size up. Our daughter is 17 months, size 3T and they fit her perfectly with some room to slack. A good stretch will help you stay cool during the hot summer months!
