Rarely do I feel like I've successfully ordered a product, but this is a PHENOMENAL product. Well-built, sturdy, understated class that easily blends into any decor, and the soft ratchet ("Perfect Break Technology" that prevents the reel from unwinding is amazing. It's strong enough to prevent unrolling, yet loose enough to remove towels with ease, even with one hand. Mine is mounted vertically on a small strip of wall next to the stove. Addendum: Seems to be a lot of conflicting reviews. I can't speak for the quality control other than that the unit I received has no obvious flaws. As for the "loud" noise some people mention, it makes a clicking noise because of the ratchet technology, but to you it's a ratchet. It's no louder than a traditional ratchet socket. It's not as noisy as some reviews suggest. 100% worth. 100% recommended. Be sure to buy!
