Review on Men'S Lightweight Zip Up Hoodie Jacket With Kanga Pocket by Ryan Reed

I wanted and needed to like this more

I am a woman who likes a boxy cut and I like to wear men's clothing. This sweatshirt is for me and I wanted to like it more. I also really needed a sweatshirt for fall as I have gained weight and nothing fits me anymore. As much as I need this and wanted to like it, it's just wrong for me (and wrong from the idea I have in my head and my life's experience of what a sweatshirt should be like). The fabric is very lightweight and it feels stiff and rough on the inside and in the outside, even after washing and drying with fabric softener. There is no soft plush inside, it's like a layer is missing and it is so scratchy. It is not comfortable, comforting, or cozy or soft as I think fall and a sweatshirt should be.It has a uniform waffle texture all over the fabric, which is also weird and unnecessary to me and makes it more scratchy and itchy. It does not feel like it would do anything to keep one warm or dry in a light sprinkle or early autumn mist. I especially think there is too big a gap at the neck. The wind and cold hit the open space at the neck. When you put the hood up and zip it up, there is a big gap of skin showing due to the sweatshirt neck needing to come up higher instead of scooping down like it does.Might be ok as one layer in multiple layers with a scarf or turtleneck or high neck vest under another light coat.Overall, this does not meet my expectations and it is not right for me. It may be right for someone else. The sewing is ok and the zipper is ok and the size is right, perhaps a little small for a big and tall. It holds up to being washed and dried. Still stays scratchy tho.
