Review on Garden Hose Repair Kit: 2 Connector Sets With Clamps For 3/4" Or 5/8" Fittings - HRC-2 by Rick Vidaurri

The connectors are made of brass-plated aluminum and are good quality. Eventually they will probably corrode and have to replaced again. The quality of the clamps that came with the sets are a different story.Just repaired three broken 5/8" connectors. I had some hose adapters from a previous purchase which are a little too small for 5/8" garden hoses. These connectors are a good fit for my two different-brand 5/8" hoses. You do have to push them really hard into the hoses, which is what I am looking for, tight fit.But the clamps that came with these connectors are NOT STRONG enough to hold the hose and connectors together. When you tight the screw hard, the small tighting slots on the tightening belt will skip. One of the repaired connectors broke lose under water pressure. Fortunately I was home and heard the noise. Otherwise a lot of water would have been wasted. I had to go to a local hardware store to purchase some additional clamps to fix it. I will not use these clamps for garden hoses in the future.
