So they're really big glowsticks, not those flimsy little sticks that you tie in a circle to make necklaces or bracelets. Maybe that's why the description says "Jumbo", but in reality they are big and strong. They are very bright and can be seen very well in the dark. Last time I gave each of my kids a pair of these so I could easily spot them in the dark. They are much easier to spot when they are in a crowd. Kids love to play with it too, so they don't mind holding it when they're not at home. I will definitely use it on the first evening of the new year. They also last a long time, so they're still lit after work when we get home. Normal use, flex and shake to spread the glowing liquid all over the wand. It shines better that way.
