This dress has a very flattering cut, especially for a pear-shape with some extra weight in the hips and thighs. Following the sizing chart, I first ordered a large. (I am 160 lbs, 5' 7"). The fit of the Large size was pretty good, but since I'm not that large on top, I decided to try the Medium just put of curiosity. I like the Medium much better. The fabric has some stretch to it, so although it's a tad tight with the Medium in the torso, it's not uncomfortable & more flattering for the chest (I'm a B cup). Technically I am 39" in the bust, but the cut of the dress really allows the Medium to fit fine there. I think this is a darling little dress, especially for the price.
