Large size for a child in PreK or kindergarten.
Great backpack for a very small child. We bought this for our almost 3 year old grandson who loves the Blaze. It fits in his LL Bean lunchbox, but no more. The outer zip pocket is suitable for notes and artwork from kindergarten. The side mesh pockets are perfect for his thermos or water bottle. Small enough to carry on your back like a "big boy" but not too heavy. That would probably not be enough for a child in kindergarten or first grade. The design of the backpack is colorful and our grandson loves it.
